A centrifuge spins the sample so some parts gather into a smaller amount. Many cell types and other blood parts remain in the result. It isn't a measured batch of one special cell. Methods can vary by the draw site, equipment, and spin time. The pelvis may also feel sore after the draw. The plain question is whether the offered material matches the evidence being described. ## What to ask when PRP is discussed Platelet-rich plasma is often written as PRP. Staff draw blood from your arm, then a centrifuge separates it so the chosen portion has more platelets. Concentrated PRP uses another step to collect even more platelets in the final portion. Platelets normally help the body respond to injury, but that fact doesn't promise a result for your joint. Ask where the blood comes from, how it is prepared, and what recovery instructions apply.
